Top 6 fastest animals in the world




We humans have a tendency to easily get attracted towards the fast things. Whether it is a fast car or even a fast phone, they just catch our attention. In the wildlife too, there are some animals, which are fast enough to catch anybody's attention.
In this post I have listed six such fast animals, hope they catch your attention too :)

6. Blue Wildebeest

Blue wildebeest are large antelope inhabiting East and South Africa. Their strong legs enable them to reach a maximum speed of 80 Km/h.
These wildebeest usually remain in groups and migrate during the dry season to some other wet region in search of food.






5. Pronghorn

Pronghorn are antelope indigenous to North America. Their body size is similar to deer and hey can run with a top speed of 88 Km/h. However, despite of their fast speed they are not like any other fast running mammals like Cheetah i.e. they can travel large distance at their top speed without getting tired.

4. Cheetah

Cheetah is the fastest animal on the land. Their body is small, compared to other members of the cat family, but have got long legs which helps them to reach a max speed of 120 Km/h. 
However, as mentioned above they can't run for a long time and need to stop to prevent their body from over-heating and over exertion.

3. Black Marlin

Black Marlin is one of the fastest and largest fish in the world. They are a sub-specie of Marlin fish and are usually found in tropical and sub-tropical areas of Pacific and Indian oceans. They have strong streamlined body which helps them to catch a top speed of 129 Km/h while swimming and travel thousands of miles in short amount of time.

2. Mexican free-tailed bat

The Mexican free-tailed bats are also known as Brazilian free-tailed bats. These bats have a medium sized body and are considered as the abundant bats present in North America.These bats really have swift body movement. They can fly with a top speed of 260 Km/h, which is more than enough to catch their favorite prey, insects.

Peregrine Falcons are the fastest animals in the world. They can travel long distance with a top speed of 390 Km/h. Just like a bullet train.
Peregrine falcon usually make their nest on the top of tall cliffs or buildings. They have tall tails and big wings, which enable them to move swiftly, making it on the top of our list ;)
