J. K. Rowling created a masterpiece in the form of Harry Potter. It made our childhood awesome and we can watch it over and over again without getting bored. However, there are some funny facts that many of us don't know about our favorite Harry Potter series. Let's have a look at some of them.



10. The food that you see on the table were real

You heard it! 100% real. The director wanted it to look like a real feast as described in the book, so he put real food on each table. But the food spoiled very easily due to the heat of the production lights and starts to smell really gross.



9. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were studying for real

It's true, they were actually ordered to do their school work during the scenes in the classroom or when they're shown studying.

8. J. K. Rowling invented Quidditch after a fight

I know sounds weird. Like how on earth someone could get a million dollar idea in anger? Well, she got it after a fight with her boyfriend.



7. Emma Watson didn't want to become Hermione

The production crew moved to different elementary schools across Britain to find the perfect face for the role of Hermione. When they reached Emma's school, she didn't want to give the audition. She didn't have any interest in doing films. But she gave the audition after her teacher asked her. She became the last and perfect candidate for the role and ended up getting chosen. Talk about luck!

J. K. Rowling told in an interview that she used to remain really depressed after her mother passed away. She put those cold empty feelings in a character which feed on human feelings and that's how Dementors were born.

The flying brooms used in the movie were not the regular old brooms which people usually use to ward away dirt; in fact, they were made from aircraft grade titanium so that these brooms can withstand the weight of the children sitting on them.
